About Waah Chai
Waah Chai is a digital chai adda from Indore — a pixel-art interactive web experience where visitors explore a virtual Indian tapri (tea stall), sit for chai, chat with nearby people, talk by voice, listen to curated Hindi and Bollywood music on the radio, play carrom and biscuit dunk, collect Chai Passport stamps, read the newspaper, browse the notice board, and hang out in a social space inspired by the warmth and spontaneity of a real neighbourhood chai adda.
Our Origin
Waah Chai is based in Indore, a city in the state of Madhya Pradesh in central India. Indore is widely known as the food capital of India and has a vibrant street food and chai culture. The digital chai adda draws heavily from this culture — the tapri aesthetic, the chai-centric social experience, and the warm community atmosphere all reflect the spirit of Indore's real neighbourhood chai addas.
